Overview Of The Subsystems Roadmap

Transcript

Hello everyone, Jeff Berlin here...

Today I am going to take you directly to the AeroSupplierLocator website and provide a quick overview of the "Subsystems Roadmap." So let's get to it...

From the Home page, click on the adjacent tab entitled "ROADMAP." As you can see, the Subsystems Roadmap consists of 11 major categories (shaded areas). They are:

  1. Airframe
  2. Avionics
  3. Contract Manufacturing
  4. Electrical Power & Control
  5. Equipment & Furnishings
  6. Fluid Conveyance
  7. Fluid Power & Control
  8. Hardware
  9. Mechanical Systems
  10. Pilot/Operator Systems
  11. Vehicle Systems

Each major category is further divided into numerous sub-categories, most of which would be considered "subsystems" (hence the name "subsystems roadmap"). Each Subsystem contains components that are typically "designed & built to specification."

There are, however, a few exceptions. The "Contract Manufacturing" category contains "build-to-print" items and the "Hardware" category contains "off-the-shelf" standard parts and/or catalog type items.

So there you have it! A quick overview of the Subsystems Roadmap.

In my next video, I will drill down into a few specific subsystems and show you some of the nearly 1000 unique components contained within the Roadmap.

Till then...
